Presentation

This class focuses on the study of international relations through that of international organizations, which have become key players therein, particularly as a result of decolonization. A central fact in international relations after 1945 (much more so than the Cold War), decolonization has led to increasing demand for multilateralism and international cooperation. Emphasis will be placed on the different theories of international relations that have formed the foundation for the creation of those organizations and/or that help to analyze their activities.

Form of assessment

The number of ECTS credits and the assessment methods are likely to be different for students in credit exchange programmes.
